Gasworks is one of the odd attractions in Seattle, but one I always recommend. Odd that a tourist recommendation involves an old gas plant... but the view from it is magnificent and the remains are actually displayed in a very tasteful manner.
On windy days there are always lots of people out there flying kites, and a group of skateboarders by the main overlook by the water. Best place to sit on the grass and watch the sea-planes take off and land. And it is I believe the start of most of the crazy Fremont parades. :) You can read more about them in the wikipedia article.
This is not the most interesting photo but I love the clouds and the non-chelate look of it.
